Quetta: The deprived inmates of Shantinagar, Quetta are forced to live in small houses. Most of the families live in cramped houses that are only 200 to 300 square feet. Shantinagar is spread over an area of only 20,000 square feet and it is home to more than 8,000 people from 700 lower-caste Hindu families and three to four married families are forced to live together in a one-room house. It is difficult to imagine how the people here live in a one-room house with their children.
